Love Chaser Rok wydania: 1986 Wydawca: Epic Nie wierzę, że znajdzie się choć jedna osoba odwiedzająca nasz serwis, która nie zna tego albumu, albo chociażby utworu tytułowego. “The Final Countdown”, utwór, który wyniósł piątkę młodych Szwedów na wyżyny popularności, i który stał się jednocześnie ich przekleństwem, gdyż już nigdy nie osiągnęli sukcesu na taka skalę. “The Final Countdown”, ukazała się w 1986 roku (tak, tak to już kupę lat minęło) i z marszu stała się sukcesem, a kolejne single promujące album były hitami. No ale jak można nie nazwać hitem “Rock the Night”, które swoją motorycznością i melodyjnością potrafi do dziś dnia porywać tłumy na koncertach i jest już jednym z klasyków zespołu. “Carrie” to może i przesłodzona ballada, ale kto z pokolenia obecnych trzydziestoparolatków nie wyczekiwał tego utworu na szkolnych dyskotekach, żeby w rytmie tej delikatnej kompozycji poprzytulać przedstawicielki płci pięknej. “Danger on the Track” to z kolei nieco ułagodzony hard rock, z pobrzmiewającą purplowym graniem partią Hammondów oraz rewelacyjną solówką Johna Noruma. Może ryzykuję tym stwierdzeniem, ale uważam, że na tej płycie nie ma słabej partii gitary, każdy jeden dźwięk wychodzący spod palców mr. Noruma jest trafiony. Co dalej? Rytmiczny “Ninja”, przebojowy “Cherokee”, przepiękny delikatny “Time Has Come”. W “Heart of Stone” znów jest nieco ostrzej (w granicach w których wówczas obracało się Europe), można chyba stwierdzić, że to najcięższa kompozycja na tej płycie. “On the Loose” to znów rockowa jazda, do przodu i z uśmiechem na twarzy. Płytę zamyka “Love Chaser”, które podobnie jak utwór tytułowy (o którym jeszcze trochę za chwilę) rozpoczyna się od patetycznej i podniosłej partii klawiszy. “The Final Countdown”. Motyw go rozpoczynający miał być idealnym na otwieranie koncertów Europe, a jak się okazało jest już od dłuższego czasu kompozycją kończącą występy grupy. Ciekawy, wpadający w ucho motyw, interesująca melodia zwrotki i znów oszałamiające solo Noruma. Oj wyszedł im ten utwór wyszedł. W latach osiemdziesiątych dziewczęca buźka Joey’a Tempesta spoglądała z tysięcy plakatów, a niejedna nastolatka wzdychała po cichu na jego widok.
